Rocktoberfest has started in Deep Rock Galactic, with free hats and beer to claim. Ghost Ship Games also says it has big news for the game at Coffee Stain’s Big Break Showcase this week.
Rock and stone, miners. Ghost Ship Games has confirmed in a Steam post that Rocktoberfest “is now live in Deep Rock Galactic”. The studio promises “two weeks of free hats and meat in your beer”, so jump in and claim them while it runs. Ghost Ship did not give an exact end date in the post.
Here is the bigger reason to pay attention. The Big Break Showcase goes live on Tuesday 29 September at 19:00 CEST, which is 10am PDT. In Australia that is 3am AEST on Wednesday 30 September, so set an alarm or plan to catch the replay.
Ghost Ship says it will “be there to share some big news for Deep Rock Galactic”, and that is all it will say for now. It does not tease what the news is. The premiere is already set up on Coffee Stain Studios’ YouTube channel, so you can open it early and get a reminder.
If you watch live, you can also win something. The studio says “everyone tuning in live will have a shot at winning free games”, with Coffee Stain titles given away during the premiere. So if you can, watch it live.
There is a bingo sheet too. Ghost Ship posted an “Official Big Break Bingo Sheet” to share with your squad, and the prize for five in a row is “a sense of pride and accomplishment”. Grab it from the Steam post before Tuesday.
