Pearl Abyss has pushed three Crimson Desert patches since the weekend began. If your farm animals went missing or your spouse stopped bringing presents, there is a fix.
Crimson Desert Enhanced has had a busy weekend. Pearl Abyss posted Patch Notes Version 2.04.02 at 4am AEDT on Saturday 31 October. Version 2.04.03 followed at 11:16pm that night. Version 2.04.04 landed at 3:31pm on Sunday 1 November. Those Sydney times are our conversion of the Steam post times.
Each post says the patch “is rolling out across all platforms.” Each lists it as available now on Steam for PC and Mac. None of them gives a time for the console versions, so check your platform’s update queue.
The latest patch is short. It fixes key-item equipment being unequipped and duplicated in your inventory after you equip it on a Greymane comrade and reload. It also fixes livestock registered at the farm disappearing, and some “Gift” text showing in Korean.
Version 2.04.03 does more with that “Gift” menu. You can now pick several items at once and set a quantity for each. Items that came back to you instead of being delivered should now arrive. Spouses who were not giving gifts after marriage have been fixed too.
It also fixes pioneering missions that could not be completed, and Kliff’s unlock conditions that could not be checked during some quests. Festivals no longer space out customer visits at night. Flying pets follow you properly, and the character’s arms stop shaking when facing an enemy.
Version 2.04.02 was the biggest of the three. Your spouse or comrade no longer follows you into the water. Sea serpents attack you again, Leviakan keeps moving, and crew members appear on ships. It also fixes an occasional crash, missing quest rewards and AMD graphics on driver 26.10.1.
Pioneering got a small upgrade in that patch as well. Enter an area that can be pioneered and a notification now appears in the menu on the right, so you can start the mission from there.
The patches follow the Charting the Unknown DLC, which unlocked on Friday. It lists at A$39.99 on the Australian Steam store, with the base game at A$109.95. Both were in Steam’s Australian top ten sellers when we read the chart early this morning.
If something is still broken, Pearl Abyss keeps a known issues notice and a report page. Check the notice before you file.
