Fancy a crack of the whip before breakfast? The Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo is out now on PS5, and it will not cost you a cent!
PlayStation put the “Demo Out Now” video up last night, and the demo is sitting right there on the PlayStation Store next to the pre-orders. The year is 1499, Paris is in flames, and you head into the burning streets with Trevor Belmont and his daughter Rose, holding the legendary Vampire Killer whip (no pressure, Rose).
Konami says you can swing around on that whip like a trapeze artist, and every boss you beat gets sealed into a tarot card so you can borrow its skills. You are up against Death, Medusa and Carmilla, plus some new faces including Joan of Arc!
The full game unlocks at midnight AEDT as Wednesday 14 October ticks over into Thursday in Sydney and Melbourne. That is 11pm Wednesday in Brisbane and 9pm in Perth. The Standard Edition is A$39.95, and the Midnight Edition is A$54.95 with a digital sound and art gallery, Trevor and Sypha costumes and the Family’s Grace relic. Pre-order and you get an Alucard Style Costume as well!
