Battlefield Studios has dated the rest of Battlefield 6‘s Season 5 — a Casino map and Leaderboards on 10 November, then the Server Browser and Platoons on 8 December.
The dates are in a Community Update posted on Steam at 15:02 UTC on 21 October, which is 2:02am AEDT on 22 October by our conversion. It follows the July roadmap and covers what the game gets through the end of the year.
Phase 1 is the Battlefield x Dead Space: Convergence Event, live since 20 October and running until 10 November, and the event guide covers it. Phase 2 starts on 10 November with a European Casino map, Multiplayer Leaderboards and balance changes. Phase 3 follows on 8 December with the Server Browser, Platoons, and updated Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City maps. The post gives dates and no times, so there are no Australian start times yet.

The Server Browser launches alongside the existing matchmaking system. The post says it will feature “persistent lobbies”, so players stay with more of the same people from one match to the next. It will also be the first tile in the Quickplay menu, and a dedicated blog is promised “in the coming weeks”.
Platoons support up to 100 players at launch, with custom group names and squad tags. They get a dedicated menu tab, and players earn an XP bonus whenever they play with fellow Platoon members in their squad.
On balance, the post says the team has looked at nerfing the extended mags on the SCW-10 and the KV9, and at buffing underused attachments across many weapons. That pass is “scheduled to arrive in Season 5 Phase 2”. On vehicles, the team is reviewing data from the 2.1.1.0 update and says it won’t make “knee-jerk adjustments”.

The update also reprints the answers from the Season 5 Discord Q&A, where developers answered 42 questions in 60 minutes. We covered the Q&A’s start time earlier. One answer says spectator mode will expand to more modes, “starting with the Elite Series in Season 5”. On bringing back Carrier Strike or Gauntlet, the answer begins “Nothing to announce yet”.
Steam’s Australian listing puts Battlefield 6 at A$109.95. On Steam’s most-played chart, read on 22 October, it ranked 21st, up from 23rd the week before.
