Australia-based Ground Zero Gaming plays FRANK Esports in a best-of-five on 11 November for a place in the 2027 LCP. The Promotion Series runs from 10 to 13 November in Ho Chi Minh City.
Riot’s Promotion Series guide names Ground Zero Gaming as one of two LCP teams that must defend their place. The other is DetonatioN FocusMe. The guide went up on 15 October, as the 2026 LCP season comes to an end.
The organisation’s own site says it is “Based in Australia and active across Taiwan and Asia-Pacific”. Its 22 December announcement said it joined the LCP for 2026 as a guest team, competing from Taipei and representing the Pacific Championship Series as its home region. Founder and CEO Beau Melia called the selection “a huge milestone for Ground Zero Gaming and for our fans”.
In the Regional Merit slot, Ground Zero Gaming plays FRANK Esports, a PCS team, in a best-of-five. The winner earns LCP team status in 2027. Riot’s format graphic puts that match on 11 November.
The other slot is a free-for-all. The four remaining teams from the domestic leagues and the wildcard playoffs go through a single-elimination best-of-five bracket, and the last team faces DetonatioN FocusMe. All of it is at the VPS Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, from 10 to 13 November.
Riot lists the start times for 11 to 13 November as 16:00 GMT+7, 17:00 GMT+8, 18:00 GMT+9 and 20:00 GMT+11. Sydney is on GMT+11 in November, so that is 8pm AEDT by our reading. The guide does not name Sydney. With the match on 11 November, put 8pm on Wednesday 11 November in your calendar.
The stakes are money as well as status. The guide says “Teams that secure their status as an LCP team will receive a share of the Regional GRP in 2027, providing additional financial support next year.”
You can watch the English broadcast on Twitch or YouTube. Riot also says ticket sales for the venue are live.
Riot’s September announcement explains why this matters. From 2027, every team starts each split in a domestic league, and the best qualify for the LCP. Teams that earn promotion or defend their spot keep a share of the Regional GRP. In the announcement’s words, “their spot in the LCP carries with it a direct share of the GRP.”
