- The Game will be set in Greece, as referenced by the title
- The Announcement comes shortly after a merchandise leak, and after a Twitter post by Ubisoft
Firstly, this is the most important part of the article. THIS IS SPARTA.
Sorry, actually we don’t know where this is, but this is a screenshot from the Assassin’s Creed Twitter post confirming the next game in the series.

We know it’s Greece, and we know it’s Ancient Greece – with those in mind, it’s probably a safe bet that Ship and Water Combat Mechanics will be making a comeback.
The announcement comes quickly after a leak onto the French Website jeuxvideo-live.com, this image was posted in an article – confirmed through merchandise, which we all know the Assassin’s Creed series can’t get enough of.
It’s a pretty safe bet that Odyssey will continue down the avenue that Origins started on, being RPG-like with Witcher-like Combat Mechanics. To what extent though, it’s difficult to confirm, however from the looks of the teased footage, it seems like the weapon mechanics from Origins will be making a return.
Whatever is going on, Ubisoft’s ‘See You At E3’ is something to be hyped over.
E3 will kick off on June 13th.
