NC has opened up the Founder’s Pack. The skins and titles you paid for now follow you to your other characters and servers, and a free shop fills in the gaps.
AION 2’s weekly update landed after maintenance that began at 5:30pm AEDT on Wednesday 7 October. That was 4:30pm in Brisbane and 2:30pm in Perth. The maintenance notice now says the servers are back online, and NC posted the patch notes on Steam the same evening.
The big change is for Founder’s Pack owners. Skins, Titles and other items from the pack can now be used on other characters and servers. If you rolled an alt after reading the server and matchmaking rules, those cosmetics are no longer stuck on a first character.
There is also a dedicated Founder’s Pack shop. It hands out items a player doesn’t own yet for free, based on pack tier. It’s open to every character on every server “until a closure notice is issued”. Items already owned won’t be bought again. For any duplicates, NC plans to add a way to discard them later. If buying the pack itself fails, the notes say to close the client and try again.
Crafting and farming change too. The Substance Morph formula that turns Sealed Wings into Enhance Stones now has a weekly limit of 20 Morphs per server. Raw Leather drops more often from monsters in Chaotic Lower Reshanta, Verteron and Altgard, so that is where to farm tonight.
The Wind Breeze Merchants now stock a Resurrection Spiritstone (Season 1) for 25,000 Kina. The limit is 10 per server each week, and it stays on sale until the maintenance on 15 December, US time.
Four fixes round out the patch. The map now takes up to 30 Map Pins, and the Asmodian “Daeva of Glorious Deeds” weekly mission can be completed properly. The duplicate “Movement Controls” option in Key Settings is gone, and broken chat Emote commands now work.
AION 2 is free to play on Steam. It went live at midnight AEDT on 6 October, as we reported, with no Oceania region on the server list. Our column called that an afterthought, and this patch says nothing about servers.
