Three Free Pieces Of Armour For Roach, Until 27 October
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered has a Twitch Drops campaign running, and it ends on 27 October. Watching eligible streams unlocks the Fire Horse Equipment Set for Roach, Geralt’s horse.
The remaster sat ninth on Steam’s most-played chart at the start of this week, up from 96th the week before. On the Australian Steam store it is currently A$34.99, down from A$69.99.
Linking Accounts And Watching Streams
The rewards only reach the game once a CD PROJEKT RED Account is linked to a Twitch account. The account is free, and it can be created during the linking process.
Linking can happen after a drop has been earned. Drops that are claimed on Twitch without a linked account expire after seven days.
Any channel with Drops enabled in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt category counts. A notification above the chat shows that a stream supports the campaign.
Progress carries across channels, so viewers can switch streams without losing time. Watching several channels at once does not speed it up.
Drops can be earned in a PC or Mac web browser, or in the Twitch app on Android and iOS. Twitch apps on consoles, smart TVs and other TV apps do not support them.
The Three Rewards
The Fire Horse Saddlebags are listed at 30 minutes of watching. The Fire Horse Mask is listed at one hour. The Fire Horse Armor is listed at one hour and 30 minutes.
Each reward can only be earned once. The watch time has to be completed before the campaign closes on 27 October, and the page does not give a closing time.
Collecting The Set In Vizima
Earned drops are claimed through a pop-up in Twitch chat or in the Twitch Drops inventory. In the game, the items wait in the Royal Palace in Vizima, and a letter from Yennefer in the inventory points the way.
The drops appear in a Twitch inventory even for viewers who do not own the game, but they are exclusive to the remaster.
