Triskell Interactive’s pantheon city builder has a launch date. Pick your patron god carefully, because the whole run is built around that choice.

Theos: Cities of Myth launches on PC via Steam on 4 November 2026. Publisher Dotemu and developer Triskell Interactive confirmed the date overnight in a Steam post alongside a new release date trailer.

This is the team behind Pharaoh: A New Era, and the pitch is a modern take on the classic city builders, set in an Ancient Greece where “history and myth walk hand in hand”.

Every city starts the same way. The founder picks one of seven Greek deities, builds a sanctuary to them, and then balances two sets of demands: what the citizens need and what the god asks for.

That god shapes the whole run, and the store page spells out the flavours. Zeus gets a majestic metropolis, Athena a cultural hub, Hermes a trading centre and Ares a military power, while Poseidon suits a fleet heading for colonies, Hera brings boons to the fields and Dionysus wants a party that never ends.

Nobody builds in isolation, either. Rival city-states grow and react to each decision, so alliances, trade and conquest are all on the table, and colonies extend a polis beyond its capital.

There are two modes. Adventure is a guided run built around one god that unlocks buildings chapter by chapter, and the developers call it the ideal place to learn the game’s systems. Sandbox makes every building and city available from the start, randomises world events and lets the player pick the god that suits the map.

New to city builders? Start in Adventure. Veterans of Pharaoh: A New Era will probably head straight for Sandbox.

No Australian price is listed on Steam yet, so wishlist it now and Steam will flag it when it goes live on 4 November.
