Rocket League Season 24 goes live at 9am Pacific on 23 September, which is 2am AEST on Thursday. The headline addition is Honor Duel, a straight 1v1 rematch against someone from the match you just played.
If you are logging on Thursday night, the season will already be running. Here is what is different.
What you will actually notice
Honor Duel. Challenge a player from your match to a 1v1. If they accept, you both drop straight into a duel in the same mode when the match ends. Everyone else can stay and spectate.
Black Market Trade-In. Trade three duplicate Black Market items for one back. What you get is either a new item or a painted version you do not own yet.
Custom scoreboard. Pick four stats to sit next to the score, set per mode.
New keyboard and mouse controls. Psyonix has modernised the default bindings and added a Free Look Camera. New KBM players get the new layout by default. If you are an existing KBM player, it is worth a try in casual before you touch ranked.
Top 100 rewards. Finish in the top 100 of the 3v3, 2v2 or 1v1 Soccar leaderboards and you earn one of five placement titles.
The dates to put in your calendar
Run It Up starts day one and runs until 9 December: 14 challenges paying out Nova Collection drops, plus stat-tracking titles for your season wins and MVPs.
Bullet Ball also starts day one and runs to 6 October. A homing ball targets one player and demolishes them on impact. You can parry it with a forward dodge, freeze it with a timed backflip, or grab another car to pass the target on. Last car standing wins.
Persona 5 starts on 25 September and runs to 12 October, with free challenge rewards including Morgana’s boost and trail, and a Mona Car bundle in the shop.
The Rocket Pass adds three car bodies: the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 on the Octane hitbox, the Dominus GT 76 on the Dominus hitbox and the Pareto 5S on the Breakout hitbox.
One free extra: RLCS caster herculyse gets a Professional Yapper player title, free in the shop until 30 September. Grab it before it goes.
