Rainbow Six Siege will stop rotating its Ranked map pool from next season.
The change is in Ubisoft’s Community Checkpoint #6, a recap of the developers’ plans posted to Steam at 4:51am AEDT today, our conversion.
The post says Year 11 is heading towards its final season.

Until now the Ranked map pool has rotated each season. The post explains why that is ending, and what replaces it:
“Starting next season, there will no longer be seasonal Ranked map pool rotations. While the goal of that feature was to keep the Ranked experience feeling fresh, most players didn’t see map rotations as meaningful new content. More often than not, a rotation would foment frustration in the community, especially when a favorite map was replaced with one the players enjoyed less.”
“Moving forward, the Siege dev team is shifting back to a “best of” approach, which will keep the strongest maps in the Ranked pool to provide a more consistent competitive experience. This will also allow players to master a stable set of high-quality maps and develop strategy sustainably. Each Ranked season will have a pool of approximately 15 maps, including the nine maps currently played in Pro competition.”
The post does not name the 15 maps.
The patch schedule changes too. The post says the 3.3 update will be the last of its kind, and from next season the .1 and .3 patches will ship fewer but more impactful changes.
It also says a nerf to the TCSG is coming in Y11S4, after player feedback.

Y11S4 also brings a new Testing Grounds featuring Half Reinforcements. A Hostage mode rework is lined up for the Testing Grounds after that.
According to the post, there is a long-term plan to bring Hostage back into competitive Siege, depending on the feedback from that session.
No date for Y11S4 is given in the post.
