Dark Arisen Expansion Arrives on a Friday Morning in Australia
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launches on 9 October, and for players in Australia that means a Friday morning start. Capcom’s global launch timing map puts the unlock at 11am AEDT on Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
That is 10:30am in Adelaide, 10am in Brisbane and 8am in Perth. Across the Tasman, the same map lists 1pm NZDT in Auckland.
The map covers Xbox Series X|S and Steam only. Capcom’s launch post does not give a time for any other platform.
On Steam in Australia, the Dark Arisen expansion is listed at A$44.95. The store page notes that it cannot be used without Dragon’s Dogma 2, and asks players to update to the latest patch before playing.

The headline addition is Forsaken Dominion, a new area in the snowy north. Players head to the long-abandoned region of Norgan and join the enigmatic Eir, who is trying to unravel the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon.
Forgotten relics found there can be appraised to unlock new weapons and skills, according to the store page.
The second addition, Lost Rites, sits in the main area. It adds 12 dungeon challenges, with rare equipment once held by past Arisens waiting in newly uncovered dungeons.
The Character Creator also gains new hairstyles and tattoos, for both the Arisen and their Pawns.

Steam pre-orders carry the Norgan Fashion Set – Northern Attire as a bonus. Capcom notes that the set may also be made available at a later date.
The expansion is not the only change on the way. In its Steam post on 6 October, Capcom said further updates to the main game are coming, “including the introduction of Hard Mode”. No date was given for that update.
For now, the wait is down to a few hours, with the snowy north opening up late morning on the east coast.
