  • The Dota 2 International Battle Pass for 2018 is Now Available on Steam
  • A Battle Royale-like mode will be released for those who purchased the Battle Pass
  • The 2018 Battle Pass will also come with a wealth of new content

Made available on May 9th, the Dota 2 2018 International Battle Pass is now on the Steam Store and ready to be purchased.

Players of the popular Valve MOBA will get to enjoy a wealth of rewards for purchasing the Battle Pass, all of which exciting and new to the game.

You can purchase the Battle Pass here, with the price starting at $9.99, but here’s the highlights of what this years Battle Pass contains.

The Underhollow – Described on the Battle Pass page, “All Battle Pass owners are invited to journey into the heart of the Underhollow for a madcap multi-team dungeon brawl”. There is speculation that this mode will be Battle-Royale like in gameplay, with last-team standing-like mechanics.

Here’s some extra information from the official site.

“Battle through a labyrinth filled with monsters, marvels, and many other three-player enemy squads as you search for Roshan’s rarest cheese and work to be the last team standing. You’ll need to navigate carefully to earn the XP and Gold needed to destroy your opponents.

But don’t take too long—Roshan’s cheese frenzy is causing cave-ins as he moves towards the center of the Underhollow. Soon enough there will be nowhere left to run”

Additionally, a new mode named ‘Mutation Mode’ will also be released. “The magic of the Ancients has gone haywire, and a random selection of gameplay modifiers–such as global Rupture events–have beset this unranked game mode”.

‘Cavern Crawl’ will also give players the opportunity to unlock new items for completing challenges – “Win games with designated heroes in your normal Dota matches to explore the maze-like caverns beneath the riverlands. Fortune and glory await!”

The Battle Pass will also be coming with Sprays, which will be available for use in game through a choice wheel, similar to CS:GO’s Paid Sprays system, released in 2016.

For more information on the battlepass, you can find everything here on the official website.

We can’t wait for the International.
