The administrators of Build A Rocket Boy, the Edinburgh studio behind MindsEye, now have names on the public record.
The company’s insolvency page at Companies House lists one case, “In administration”, with the administration starting on 23 September 2026. It names two practitioners: Allister Manson of Opus Restructuring LLP, at an address in London’s High Holborn, and Mark Harper, at an address on George Square in Glasgow.
That fills the gap we flagged yesterday. The form that records the appointment — AM01(Scot), filed on 25 September — is still listed in the filing history as “being processed”, so the administrators could not be named from it.
The dates are worth a second look. The administration started on 23 September, two days before the form reached Companies House.
The company’s overview page now gives its status as “In Administration”. It was incorporated on 6 June 2016, and its registered office is on Ocean Drive in Leith.
The filing history also shows the board thinning out this year. Four directors left between April and May 2026 — Yat Keung Li and Chenglin Han on 14 April, Samuel Eli Englebardt on 26 May and Julia Wittlin on 31 May — with the terminations filed in May and June.
Those departures came before the group accounts to 30 September 2025 were filed on 6 July. As we reported yesterday, those accounts showed revenue of £4.6 million against operating costs of £52.1 million, a net loss of £36.2 million, and a going-concern warning about roughly £17 million in preference shares.
The register does not say what the administrators plan for the company, its staff or MindsEye. The AM01 form should become readable once Companies House finishes processing it, which the register puts at 10 days from filing.
