Pawniard is November’s Community Day Pokémon, and you have almost a month to get ready!
The post says it runs on Saturday 21 November, 2pm to 5pm local time, which means 2pm on your own clock wherever you are playing. Pawniard will appear more often in the wild, and if you’re lucky you might meet a Shiny one or one with a Special Background.
Evolve Bisharp into Kingambit during the event, or up to four hours afterwards, and it learns the Charged Attack Kowtow Cleave. That attack is 75 power in Trainer Battles and 85 in Gyms and Raids. For the event only, Bisharp needs you to defeat 1 Dark- or Steel-type Raid Boss first (a small detour, but there it is).

The bonuses are the usual good ones. Eggs need a quarter of the hatch distance, catching Pokémon earns double Candy, and Incense lasts three hours. Most of them run only for the three event hours, but some are active from 2pm to 9pm local time, and so is a very high chance of Pawniard at PokéStops with a regular Lure Module.
The optional Special Research ticket is US$1.99, or the equivalent in your local currency, and the post gives no Australian price. It includes three Pawniard encounters with a Special Background, a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL.
What: Pawniard Community Day. When: Saturday 21 November, 2pm to 5pm local time. Where: wherever you play, so charge the phone and go!
