A Full Launch, An Early Access Window, A Season Preview And A VR Update

Publishers posted a run of trailers between 25 and 26 September. Four of them come with a date or a price worth knowing this week. Details below are taken from each video’s description and the publishers’ own store pages. The trailers themselves were not reviewed.

Way of the Hunter 2

Way of the Hunter 2 launches on 29 September 2026, and it is playable in Early Access on Steam until then. THQ Nordic’s launch post says pre-ordering, or joining Early Access now, adds The Heirloom Pack “at no additional cost”.

That pack includes “a masterfully engraved .243 Win rifle, a matching scope, a modern .270 Win rifle, and a majestic bronze elk statue”. A new trailer for the Merkel Helix Speedster rifle went up on 25 September. The game is A$50.99 on Steam in Australia.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve

PlayStation posted a 101 Overview Trailer for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve on 25 September. Steam lists the PC release as 1 October 2026.

The Deluxe Edition includes three days of Early Access, which Steam says begins on 28 September at 3:00 PM PDT. That is 8am AEST on Tuesday 29 September. On Steam in Australia the standard edition is A$109.95 and the Deluxe Edition is A$139.95.

The Crew Motorfest

Ubisoft shared a first look at the Season 12 Playlist for The Crew Motorfest. The description says it is “currently in early development stage”, and that “Asian car culture will take center stage in January 2027, with Yangwang and more iconic rides along for the journey”.

At the time of writing, the base game is A$19.99 on Steam in Australia, down from A$99.95.

Cave Crave

The Tham Luang update for Cave Crave is out on PS VR2. The trailer description says Tham Luang “is now available on PlayStation®5” and calls it “one of the world’s most famous cave systems”.

On PC, Cave Crave VR is A$21.95 on Steam in Australia. No Australian PlayStation Store price was checked.
