Xbox Australia is celebrating the full launch of PLAYERUNOWN”S BATTLEGROUNDS by announcing a limited edition greaseproof controller. Considering the controller is greaseproof, I don’t know what Xbox Australia are suggesting about the hygiene of gamers. Just wash your bloody hands, guys!
The greaseproof Xbox One controller utilises the conventional PUBG colour scheme, grey and yellow, and is covered in a special coating resistant to grease and oil. Ironically, the greaseproof coating makes the controller look like it’s covered in grease.
Alongside the greaseproof coating, the controller is hand-sprayed with a urethane coating, which supposedly makes the controller “impervious to minor scratches, water, and of course, roast chicken grease.” Each PUBG greaseproof controller is individually numbered, with only 200 being made.
The greaseproof PUBG controller can’t be purchased but is part of a competition organised by Xbox Australia. Visiting the Xbox ANZ Facebook page will provide details about how you can win this greasy looking, greaseproof controller.
If you are the type of person who eats greasy chicken while playing video games, this controller is perfect for you. But, I don’t think that is a good thing.
