Atlus had announced the next game’s release date of the Persona franchise. Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth will be released in Japan on the 29th of November.

Persona Q2 will be on the 3DS and act as an ‘all-star’ game of sorts for the Persona Franchise. The trailer revealed that it will include characters from Persona 3, 4 and 5. The game will also have some of its original characters for the franchise itself.

There are a few details regarding its gameplay for this title. It will include some dungeon exploring and your typical turn-based combat system. If you are familiar with the Etrian Odyssey dungeon games, then the game should be very straightforward and an easy pickup.

Beyond that, there are very few features detailing what the game may hold but from what the trailer and pictures revealed, the story mode will be very interactive between the cast. Depending on who you have in your party, characters can interact differently or the story may change a little. Gameplay-wise, it has yet to reveal any actual changes that are dependant on party compositions.

However, for the Western audience, there is yet to be any announcement of release for the game. So far, there are no publishers who expressed interest in translating and releasing the game. However, Persona as a franchise had always done fairly well in the Western Market. Persona Q, the predecessor, had been released in the West with a well above-average critical score.

If you are excited for an English version release here in Australia, expect roughly 6-7 months after the end of November for its release. Persona Q was released in Australia about 6 months after being released in Japan. It is likely that if there is a publisher that will be responsible for the English release, it will be done by NIS America.

If you are a Persona fan, are you willing to grab the Japanese copy first or will you wait for the English version to arrive after months of release in Japan?
