Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was a game exclusive to the Playstation 4 and Steam Store, developed by Level-5 Studios. This game follows a completely new storyline from the first game (which was a co-collaboration with Studio Ghibli) and features a very stylized art style (though, yes, not fully animated cutscenes like the gorgeous first games.) The story of Revenant Kingdom follows Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, thrust into the role of King as his hometown of Ding Dong Dell gets overtaken by the evil Rats. Evan, Roland and the friends he meets along the way, join up to make a new Kingdom – so Evan can become the true King he’s meant to be, and lead is nation into battle against the evil Snake-like being, Doloran. — No I’m not spoiling the story, so rest easy newcomers.
This DLC Pack, titled The Tale of a Timeless Tome continues the story of King Evan as you delve into the memories of your favorite characters and try and figure out what the Nightmare’s are doing to stop their rein of chaos. The DLC Pack will include new playstyles, locations, challenges and characters to interact with. I was heavily invested in the base game when it launched and with this DLC re-introducing the Wizard’s Companion and new Higgledies to collect and create, it’s sure to be a welcome revist to the world of Ni No Kuni for me. The return of the Solosseum is sure to bring a lot more challenge and just add to the overwhelming amount of content that seems to be planned for this pack. Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – The Tale of a Timeless Tome DLC is set to be released on March 19th, 2019. More information on what’s included in the DLC Pack can be found Bandai Namco Website right here.
