Onimusha: Warlords updates and changes

Re-recorded voices:

“The Japanese voices have been re-recorded for this remake, and the brand new soundtrack promises to be even more spectacular than the original.”

High-Definition Graphics:

“Characters, background visuals, and cutscenes have been given a high-definition upgrade. Immerse yourself in the world of Onimusha and enjoy enhanced gameplay with improved graphics.”

Widescreen Support, New Display Options:

“Play using the original game’s display ratio (4:3) or in widescreen (16:9). Switch between 4:3 and 16:9 at any time in-game. *Some menus and screens are fixed at either 16:9 or 4:3.”

Screen Scroll Feature:

“A screen scroll feature has also been added for widescreen display. The background scrolls up and down according to play movements, showing areas that wouldn’t be fully displayed otherwise.”

New Controls (Analogue Stick Support) & Easy Mode Available:

“In addition to the original controls, this remake allows players to move using the analog sticks. This added feature makes it easier to move instinctively and change directions quickly, make more action-packed gameplay possible.”

“Easy Mode is unlocked for players form the start of gameplay, which was a much-needed feature in the original game. This addition makes it easier for both newcomers and long-time fans to dive right into the Onimusha world.”

Originally released for the PlayStation in 2001, Onimusha: Warlords is an action game set in 1560’s Japan. The player character, Samanosuke, receives a letter from Princess Yuki, who details incidents of soldiers and servants disappearing from Inabayama Castle. Samanosuke rushes to help but is quickly defeated by an onslaught of horrible demons. In his defeat, Samanosuke is granted a mysterious gauntlet by an ogre. This gauntlet allows Samanosuke to grow stronger with every demon he kills, which is a pretty handy tool if your day-job is killing demons. Get it? Handy?

Onimusha: Warlords will be released in mid-January for PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PlayStation 4.
