Today, Capcom UK announced a new Plug ‘n’ Play system, much like the Nintendo NES Classic and PlayStation Mini. The Capcom Home Arcade features sixteen classic Capcom titles available in one Capcom shaped plug ‘n’ play arcade fight stick for up to two players to enjoy. Standard HDMI output is given, and from what I can tell from the aspect ratio is set at a correct 4:3, not stretched to widescreen like so many of these systems are. (All I can hope for now is a Pixel Perfect mode and hope that they don’t blur the image to make the games ‘look smooth’ like so many other companies do to try and please everyone.) On top of all of that, the Capcom Home Arcade will also feature built in WiFi, so any top scores can be stored on an online leaderboard, bringing that classic arcade feel to your home in a neat way, a welcome addition all the same.

The sixteen games planned to be included in this bundle are 1944: The Loop Master, Alien vs. Predator, Armored Warriors, Capcom Sports Club, Captain Commando, Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness, Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Eco Fighters, Final Fight. Ghouls’n Ghosts, GigaWing, Mega Man: The Power Battle, Progear, Strider, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting and Super Puzzle Fighter II: Turbo – quite a decent set of games for arcade lovers, and of course, one of the best Capcom lineups we’ve seen as of yet. So far, the price is only listed in Euros, at an RRP of €230 (approx $360 AUD) but we can only hope that when this product reaches Australian shores, the price might be a little easier to take in. The Capcom Home Arcade is set to release October 25th, 2019 – If you would like to know more about the Capcom Home Arcade, you can do so on the official website.
