ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) was launched in 2006 with the aim to creating the world’s best gaming hardware and software. On April 24th they announced their Spring 2019  range. ROG and The Ultimate Force (TUF) will continue to produce top quality gaming hardware while also catering to corporate professionals and content creators. Gamers Classified has compiled a preview of ROG and TUF’s newest machines and their functions. The majority of the laptops listed below are available for purchase and pre-order now. Prices and availability of the ROG Mothership will be announced in the coming weeks.

ROG Mothership

The Mothership laptop is powerful and dynamic enough to be a desktop replacement. Laptop screens and keyboards typically do not separate. They are a one size fits all option which may not suit everyone’s physical proportions or work space. The ROG Mothership’s keyboard and screen separate so they can be adjusted to fit into an ergonomic work space. The display can produce 144Hz with a 3ms response time for elite gamers or 60Hz 4k UHD for content creators. ROG G703

The G703 is designed for AAA game play. It features a factory overlocked Generation Intel® Core™ i9 processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2080 graphics. This GPU and CPU combine to create fast, smooth game play with no blur or motion tearing. The NVIDIA GPU uses artificial intelligence and ray-tracing to create the most realistic shadows and highlights on in-game objects. The G703 uses a 100% standard red green blue (sRGB) colour gambit. This means that the colour displays in games and videos on your screen will be reproduced as the Developers and Directors intended. For more information about the ROG G703, please see the ASUS website.

ROG Zephyrus S GX701

The slogan for the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 is Go Big. Stay Slim. This is because the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 features an ulta-thin 17 inch bezel display, 18.7mm chassis, and a ROG exclusive GPU G-SYNC™ for gaming and Optimus for battery life. This is a powerful, slim and portable gaming machine. It is 23% smaller and 40% thinner than traditional gaming laptops but still provides superior visuals and speed.

ROG Zephyrus S GX531

The ROG Zephysus S GX531 creates a pro-gaming experience on an ulta-slim laptop with a super-narrow bezel. This is the thinnest gaming laptop to date. It features 144Hz, 3ms response time, 100% sRGB and 178° viewing angle. See it for yourself in our Zypherus S GX531 article.

ROG Strix Scar III

While the Strix Scar II was designed with Esports in mind, the Strix Scar III was designed with the input of Esports Athletes. The result is that that Strix Scar III features a 240Hz for minimal blurring. This can be boosted to 1440MHz at 115W.

This laptop was designed in collaboration with BMW Designworks. This is the design innovation company for BMW Group however; their work is not limited to cars. They work with a wide range of companies to create innovative designs and technologies. The ROG and BMW Designworks collaboration has resulted in a new ROG keystone. This is a small piece of hardware which plugs into the side of the laptop that allows profiles to be transferred between machines. This means that you can take custom sound and visual settings from one machine and automatically transfer them to another machine via the key stone.

ROG Strix G

The Strix G is an understated laptop. It is the most affordable laptop in the Spring 2019 range but still includes NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics and 144Hz. As such, its still a worthy gaming laptop option for the casual, non-competitive gamer.

The Strix G also stays cool under pressure. The CoolZone keyboard ensures optimal ariflow around the WASD keys. The n-fan blades are 33% thinner than on other laptop fans. This mans that the fans can fit more blasde which allow for greater cooling. As such, you can push the Strix G to its limits without worrying about overheating.

TUF Gaming FX505

There are ultra thin bezels and then there are nano thin bezels. The Ultimate Fore (TUF) Gaming FX505 laptop features a 6.5mm bezel. The nano thin bezels couples with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) viewing panel to create a realistic visuals. IPS monitors feature nano crystals which turn to create a vibrant and detailed colour experience.

And what is an TUF machine without the ability to withstand ultimate forces? The TUF Gaming FX505 is MIL-STD-810G certified. These are US military tests to determine if hardware is durable enough to survive war zone conditions. The Gaming FX505 passed MIL-STD-810G tests for shock and vibration, humidity, temperature, altitude and solar radiation.

The Gaming FX505 is also built to withstand more mundane threats like dust. It includes individual fans and heat skins for both the Intel® Core™i7 8750H CPU and the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 10-Series GPU. The Gaming FX505’s HyperCool technology also includes anti-dust tunnels on the edges of the fan which catch and direct dust outwards. This is designed to combat dust build up which may impede laptop performance.

These are all powerful and portable machines. Anyone could happily use anyone of these machines to complete their digital tasks. However, each machine has its own specifications which will make it ideal for certain tasks.
