Try not to die, x1000

Sweet merciful puppies, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUND is one lit game. Yeah, we’ve already been gifted with amazing multiplayer-online-battle-royal games like H1Z1: King of the Kill, Rust: Battle Royale and the incredible Ark: Survival of the Fittest; so it’s kind of weird for me to say that this game is pretty much it for me! Why this game though, compared to all the other ones? I am absolutely convinced that PUBG has hit gold in the balance between every little detail and feature.

So how do you survive? Don’t die.

Let’s start with the basics. Firstly, you’re stuck in a plane and you need to jump out and fly straight down to whatever town/area is closest, my trick is; not to jump out where everyone else would (unless you play like that, then by all means, go crazy you lunatic).

Secondly, loot your heart out! You need to find a weapon first thing just in case someone or some team drops nearby, unless you’re a gun like me and can kill someone with your bare hands (happened once, but damn did my heart stop). Loot essentials are 1. Weapons 2. Medic items (try to prioritize Med-Kits, then First Aid, bandages, Red Bull and pills.) 3. Get your all your protection gear together, so that’s your helmets and vests and all that good body armor. 4. All your weapon attachments; you’ve got your Muzzle Mods, Lower Rail, Upper Rail (these will complete your holy trinity weapon, comes in REAL handy late game), Magazines and Stocks. If you can find a backpack in between all that looting, you can hold a WHOLE lot more and be one mega badass.

Thirdly (and most importantly), stay inside the white circle. Don’t let that stupid blue line catch up to you running away or you will die a slow and painful death.

Helpful Tips: Really practice peeling your bloody eyes for people, it’s so incredibly detailed so make sure you know how to spam the trigger on a single mode. Also, some cars eat that petrol so pick up gas cans when you can (and try not to use a car near the end of the game).

REPEAT!

Okay so now that all of that is out of the way, let’s get into the good stuff; the game is absolutely crazy! Like any other game with shooting, most of the weapons do trump others depending on the situation and if you can get a shot or not. The route the plane takes varies every drop so the places you jump down to is key, don’t drop in the middle of a wheat field or you and a goner, but on the other hand the hugely populated places will draw the majority of players for an insane amount of looting so you have to care there too.

You can really take your time in this game (but not really..), let’s just say it’s not one of those ones where you can run around and shoot everyone, be the last one standing and be the winner. Honestly, it’s better to win with 2 kills then dying at 38th place killing 13 players. But regardless of where I place in this game, It’s one I can actually have fun with my friends playing. Yeah, the anxiety is r i g h t through the roof playing, but I can end the game screaming with laughter with my friends instead of blatantly screaming.
