Heading into a new week in Destiny 2: Forsaken, bounties and challenges have reset to keep Guardians on their toes.
Yesterday, the new week came around so we now all have the chance to do some new activities in the world of Destiny. Spider’s WANTED bounties have refreshed with a new set of Prison of Elders escapees to hunt down. Each cost a certain amount of Ghost fragments, with the most expensive bounty yielding the best rewards. This week that bounty comes in the form of Wanted: Gravetide Summoner.
To complete this bounty, it is not as simple as running a lost sector to find the escapee at the end. These advanced bounties require you to complete an Adventure. Once the bounty is purchased from Spider, the Adventure will show up on Titan. It can, however, vary as to which lost sector it will be next to. Begin the Adventure, keeping in mind it will be power level 540, and run the lost sector to claim your powerful gear.
Petra has moved again around the Dreaming City and with her, the Ascendant Challenge. She is now located in Rheasilvia instead of in Divalian Mists where you spawn in. The portal to the Ascendant Challenge will open in Harbinger’s Seclude once you use your Tincture of Queensfoil. Petra’s flashpoint challenges have also reset so you can earn some more gear by completing two of her weekly bounties. It is also now possible to obtain a Seed of Light by completing her Gateway Between Worlds bounty. An addition to the quest after presenting the offering to the Oracle, allows you to travel to the Queen’s Court and receive the Seed of Light from Mara Sov herself.
The new Crucible mode, Breakthrough, has arrived
This one has been on the Forsaken roadmap to launch in the week following Iron Banner and here it is. This PvP mode is brand new to the Crucible and is a 4v4 match type. The way this mode works is each team will start on one side of the map and fight to take control of the area in the middle. There will be a delay between spawning and the area unlocking but similar to Control, standing in the area will count up to 100 in order to take it.
Once the area is claimed, that team will be granted with the Breaker. You will use this Breaker to hack the enemy team’s Vault that is located on the opposite side of the map. This too will have a delay before it is unlocked to let you start hacking. If your team is successful, the round will end and you will gain a point. You will then switch sides and start the fight again. The match is a best of five rounds where the first team to win three will be the winners.
On top of all these new activities, all other weekly bounties and rewards have been reset. This includes Clan, Crucible, Strikes and Gambit bounties as well as the Eververse rewards. This week you can purchase the Poultry Petting Exotic emote for 3250 Bright Dust. You can also use a Prismatic Facet or 200 Silver to roll for the All Mine Exotic emote or a variety of other Ornaments, Vehicles and Ghost Shells in the Prismatic Matrix.
Of course, next week will get another reset but the Festival of the Lost will also be returning… with a twist.
