XBox Wire recently announced a solid lineup of titles joining the Xbox Game Pass catalogue straight from the beginning of this month. If you are an Xbox player who had missed some of the most iconic titles over the past years, be sure to take a look at some of what they have to offer!

This roster of titles came from various studios of the highest prestige to some of the most humble yet talented teams out there. Let’s take a look at what Xbox has to offer for this September:

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

This series of games host their most iconic character of the series, Master Chief as we go through his story in his fight against the Covenant, Flood and other enemies. This classic series had been one of the strongest franchises in the Sci-Fi gaming market and if you are a fan of the FPS genre, you should definitely check it out.

Within this collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4. Along with the series’s entry to the Game Pass Catalogue, the game also has a few upgrades to make use of the Xbox One’s more powerful hardware than its predecessors. Improved loading times and better resolutions are just some of the additional features added to this series.

Quantum Break

Another Sci-Fi game that had a strong critical showing. Released in 2016, this game had scored consistently high in several reviews. This game is an action adventure in 3rd person. Don’t expect it to be like Halo in any regard, but if you are looking for some more nuanced sci-fi, this title could give you some hours to burn

Though it is coming out a little later than the rest of the lineup by coming on September 5th, it is still a game to be excited over. With a fairly unique genre of Vehicular Combat (not racing), this game opens up interesting new ways of how it could be played from your typical racing game. If you like to be a little more aggressive or methodical and love playing off-terrain cars, this is a game to look out for.

Aven Colony

This city-building game is one of the many sci-fi titles coming this September. Unlike the two mentioned above, this is all about strategic placement of resources and controlling it much like an RTS game. If this type of gameplay appeals to you more than the adventure ones, then take a look at this particular game for some fun!

Shadow Warrior 1

This FPS game has a pretty long history despite its developer being an indie studio Flying Wild Hog. You play as Lo Wang who has to slice, shoot and mow down through hordes of enemies whether it be demons, humans or other enemies. Plus his witty remarks with other characters give a bit of light-heartedness to this action-packed game. This is definitely for players who love some arcade FPS.

Xbox GamePass also has a few more titles up their sleeves. Sky Force Reloaded, Manual Samuel, Snake Pass, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and Innerspace rounds out the list coming to this September. While there are plenty of games that could last you the whole month, it wouldn’t be a surprise if you feel a little uncertain to pay some money for the Xbox GamePass. If you haven’t been a pass holder before, they are offering a 14-day free trial so you can try out these games.
