The Persona series is know for having it’s fair share of spin-offs, but the latest news from Atlus might just suggest something a little bit more exciting for Switch owners. Throughout 2017-2018, Atlus bought a few website domains and some of them have already been revealed to be upcoming games. Two of the domains that were registered by Atlas and eventually turned into fully fledged games were P5D – which turned out to become Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight and P5R became Persona 5: The Royal. Could this mean that the new website that just opened up could be hinting at something to do with the Switch as the rumors of from a few months originally suggested?

Source: Joker in Smash Reveal Trailer

As I’m sure you’re aware, Joker is coming to Smash Bros. Ultimate very shortly as a DLC fighter, so it is entirely possible that this new website is completely to promote that DLC, and
is nothing more than that… but with such big representation, what if Joker coming to a Nintendo franchise gets paired up with Persona 5 being ported to the Switch? It would be completely fitting if all of the rumors of Persona 5 being ported to the Switch were true with the compliment to that being Joker’s inclusion in Smash Bros. Ultimate. The ‘S‘ signifying Switch has already been shown with Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age, so I’d be happy to buy into the idea of Atlus doing the same thing with Persona. So little is known about this other than the ‘big reveal’ which will be on April 25th, 2019, that’s not a ling time to wait. You can find more information on the official P5S website, and be sure to follow the Persona Twitter for any other developments.
