Soundfall brings gaming and music into one sweet-sounding experience

Drastic Games have debuted a unique gaming experience as they reveal their new title, Soundfall. Soundfall is a new action-adventure game, set to upbeat music that accompanies gameplay. If you like a fun adventure game and some good tunes, Soundfall might have you singing.

Check out the trailer below to get an idea of how this unique combination blends into one seamless gameplay composition.

Drastic Games is composed of former Epic Games developers. They describe Soundfall as rhythm-driven dungeon crawler that’s procedurally generated to music.

The Epic Games alumni that have founded Drastic Games, pride Soundfall on melding the charm of classic adventure games with the intensity of twin-stick shooters.

Soundfall is set to be released on all major consoles – that means Playstation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The developers of the game staged an interview to discuss this daring title further. Check it out below to get a closer look at the talent behind Soundfall.

In Soundfall, players will begin their adventure with protagonist, Melody. She’s described as a talented young audiophile who is transported to Symphonia, a world where music comes to live. Melody must befriend endearing allies and wield legendary weapons against a horde of adversaries in a race to halt the return of an unfathomable darkness, Discord.

With the integration of music as a central element of the game, players perform to the beat of the song. Time your actions to the beat of the music to super-charge their effects as you dash, blast, and slash your way through a world forged by sound.

Check out the gameplay for yourself in this uncut footage below:

Share the adventure with up to 3 friends in both couch co-op and online multiplayer.

You don’t have to dance alone either. You can play Soundfall either in a solo mission or you can play with a friend as you take on enemies to the beat of the music. Share the adventure with up to 3 friends in both couch co-op and online multiplayer.

Characters and weapons can progress and improve as you make your way through the game. The levels are also described as hand-crafted and procedural, so you can expect some great things from the gameplay of Soundfall.
