Following the Throwdown Series 5 Final, Chiefs and Tainted Minds will be representing the Oceanic Region in London for the Rocket League World Championships.
Chiefs took the Oceanic Championship win at Throwdown yesterday, beating Tainted Minds 4-0. Tainted Minds coming in second means they also qualify, along with Chiefs, for the World Championships. Later this year in June, Chiefs and Tainted minds will travel to London to compete against teams from both Europe and North America.
The Throwdown series 5 final saw Legacy, Dark Sided, Chiefs and Tainted Minds battle it out for the qualifying spots and for the $19,500 USD prize pool. Chiefs and Tainted Minds made quick work of their opponents in the next round, winning 4-0. The second and final round of the losers bracket, Tainted minds had to fight to get the win over Dark Sided. They triumphed and took it 4-3 moving onto the Grand Finals to face Chiefs once again.
